The Peristaltic Pump is considered a vital part of any ‘Dalic’, selective plating facility. The Unit is used to supply the plating area (normally via the anode) with a constant supply of electrolyte, thereby ensuring an even high quality deposit is produced in the minimum amount of time. By using the pump an electrolytes efficiency factor is far more likely to be achieved, also stressing of the deposit is kept to a minimum by ensuring that overheating does not occur. Pumping takes place by the simple operation of compressing a rubber or plastic tube under revolving rollers thereby creating a suction effect. The unit is self priming and none of its vital moving parts can be corroded by the electrolyte. Pumping speed is infinitely variable from approximately 10 mls to 1 litre per minute. Rates being controlled by a thyristor driven D.C. motor and/or varying tubing sizes. Direction of flow is reversible. |
